The GRI Child Resistant Pool Alarm is designed to operate with either a 9 volt battery or external DC power supply. The surface and recessed models will operate at any DC voltage from 5 – 15 volts maximum. The 12 volt DC power threshold is recommended to keep the audible volume of the alarm at its maximum level. Gate Mounted Pool Alarm
The GT10-2 and GT10-4 can be operated independently with an on-board 9 volt battery or with a 12 volt externally supplied DC power source. Both power sources have been designed to maintain maximum sound pressure level, currently rated at 85 dB.

UL Listed Pool Alarm Closed Loop
The GRI DPA-10 Series Pool Alarms operate on a 9 volt battery. U.L. requires that a Duracell alkaline battery Model MN1604 be used. Both units will operate at any voltage of 5-15 volts maximum. 12 volts is recommended to prevent sounder volume from dropping below minimum sound pressure levels of 85dB at 10’.
